About Us
The Sexual Assault Resource Center started as the Rape Crisis Team in 1974 by the Weld County Chapter of the National Organization for Women to provide adocacy for victms/survivors of sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse.  The rape crisis team became known as Sexual Assault Survivors, Inc. and twelve years later the name has been changed to Sexual Assault Resource Center to better reflect the types of services that the organization provides.
 
The Sexual Assault Resource Center provides:
 
  • Education and awareness: surrounding sexual assault to the Weld County community
 
  • Information: we will answer your questions regarding sexual assault, and give you information about how to support someone you know who has been affected
 
  • Emotional Support: we will listen to your concerns, questions, or thoughts, we can guide you through your healing process, and help you identify your support network
 
  • Resources: we will connect you to counseling services in your area, and any other resources you may benefit from 
 
  • Advocacy: information and support through the reporting process and medical exam
 
  • Case Management: schedule an appointment with our office advocate by e-mailing advocate@sarcenter.org or by calling 970-330-3890
 
  • These services are provided to women and men who have been a victim of sexual assault and to their friends, family, and loved ones
 
  • Services are Confidential and Free and are available 24 hours per day
